The second 4th grade Educator's Edge session focused on the comparing fractions TEK 4.3D. Instructional activities for this session include Comparing Fractions using Benchmarks, Would You Rather cards, Fraction Restaurant, Fraction Tournament Brackets, & Fraction War LFHC game!

In 4th grade, the first Educator's Edge session centered on representing multi-step problems (TEK 4.5A). We talked about the importance of numberless word problems and created an error analysis activity for students. Here's an example of the problem and correction.

For 3rd Grade, our focus is on solving and representing addition & subtraction word problems. New resources added include an instructional video that models solving a 2-step problem and a tool featuring labeled scaffolds to help students represent word problems.

For 1st and 2nd grades, we focused on the join and separate structures for addition and subtraction. You can find our slides explaining each structure, a structure sort, and Brainincamp codes for activites and/or workstations!
