Assisting @WimberleyFD with a brush fire this evening. Resources from North Hays County Fire Rescue, Buda Fire Dept, Hays County CERT and Wimberley EMS are also assisting. Fire is contained at this time.

This Saturday is the Hays County Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Hays CISD PAC Center. This is a great event for families to come visit and learn how to be better prepared for disasters. Lots of Fire, EMS and Police equipment for the kids to see. Event runs 10:00-4:00.

If you smell smoke tonight, there are numerous other reports of smoke in the area across Hays County. There is a large prescribed fire in Aransas County. Increased winds this afternoon have kept the smoke close to the ground and covered our area.
