The Ecotourism Online Booking System marks a major step in NFA’s digital transformation journey enhancing visitor experiences while supporting sustainable forest management, conservation and revenue generation.

The system was officially launched by Mr. Arinaitwe Valence, Assistant Commissioner representing the PS, @min_waterUg. In his remarks, @ed_nfaug @stuartmani1 commended the collaborative effort behind the system’s development:

Together, we’re working toward a future where responsible infrastructure development and forest conservation go hand in hand for the benefit of present and future generations.

Both teams commended the strong collaboration between NFA and EACOP, emphasizing the shared commitment to balance national development with environmental protection and community well-being.

The visit focused on assessing the Right of Way (RoW) activities, forest offset initiatives, and ongoing efforts to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management.

NFA Board & EACOP Joint Field Visit to Taala CFR and Project Areas @NFAUG Board of Directors, led by Dr. Eng. Christopher Ebal, together with the EACOP team headed by John-Bosco Habumugisha, carried out a joint monitoring visit to Taala CFR and surrounding project areas.

NFA’s Mr. Robert Owiny reaffirmed Uganda’s Vision 2040 target of increasing forest cover to 24%, while UNODC’s Ms. Annet Okot and the Resident Judge of Masindi emphasized teamwork and justice in environmental protection. ⚖️

Leaders including Maj. Gen. M. Rwakitarate, RCC Hoima Mr. Badru Mugabi, and RDC Kikuube Mr. Angalia Godwin called for unity, vigilance, and collaboration to restore Uganda’s forest cover and protect natural resources.
