U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright visited the #NETL site in Morgantown, West Virginia, to see the facilities, technologies and personnel leveraging the nation’s abundant hydrocarbon resources to meet the growing needs of the American people.

#NETL released an update of its open-source tool that helps industry calculate the cost of transporting carbon dioxide by pipeline from where it is captured to where it can be stored underground or converted into useful products.

NETL has received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy Critical Materials Innovation Hub to expand research that transforms single-use water bottles, shopping bags and other plastic into a valuable feedstock for a high-quality graphite.
