Gov. Lombardo seems offended educators prefer public money to go into public education. His state is ranked 48th in per pupil funding with the largest class sizes in the nation. Education is economic development and that's a better investment than hollywood movie studios. #NVLeg

Whether studios or stadiums, education just isn't a focus for Governor Lombardo. This year, he gave students just a $2 increase. Also this year, he tried to give Hollywood executives $1.65 billion (twice) #SchoolsOverStadiums

Nevada Educators trust @ZConine because he’s always defended our public schools and the people who make them work. Zach understands that protecting public dollars is essential to protecting public education.

“If Hollywood is the emergency, then Nevada leaders have lost the plot, and if tone deafness were taxable, perhaps our schools would be fully funded,”said Alex Marks, Deputy Executive Director of NSEA. Senators ultimately agreed, rejecting the bill”#NVLeg

We depend on the legislative counsel bureau every session, and even special sessions…but why are we now choosing to ignore their analysis and force this bill through? Call the vote and get this over with #nvleg 📰 @NevadaCurrent

The money used to put on seven days of Lombardo’s special session could’ve provided relief for all these issues, but instead, we’re paying for the Legislature to debate handing over $1.8 billion to the film industry. #NVLeg

Day 6. The money used to fund this Special Session could have fed 232,800 students in CCSD #NVLeg

Nevada ranks near the (red) bottom of education. A vote for AB5 is a vote to cut education funding. #NVLeg #SchoolsOverStudios
Don't let @SpeakerYeagerNV and @JosephMLombardo sell Nevadans to Hollywood for crumbs! Tell your legislators to vote NO on the #HollywoodHandout! ➡️ https://t.co/7DE9x7pwd6

Some things never change. Today, multiple complaints were filed with the Legislative Counsel Bureau alleging that, once again, Jeremy Aguero is lobbying without registering as a lobbyist. Who’s he working for to pass the #HollywoodHandout? Who knows! #NVLeg
As we begin the Legislative Commission hearing, perhaps someone can have the Director of LCB address the issue of unregistered lobbying that took place by Jeremy Aguero & Steve Hill during the Regular and Special Session. We sent a letter on 7/12 and followed up on 8/5. Crickets.

While Lombardo's wasteful special session drags on to day five, check out all of the things that could've been funded instead of having our Legislature debate on giving $1.8 billion to the film industry #NVLeg
