People aren’t going to like this, but Aroldis Chapman’s 2025 belongs in the conversation for best Red Sox closer seasons of our generation. 2025 Chapman: 329 ERA+, 1.98 FIP, 13.2 K/9 2013 Uehara: 379 ERA+, 1.61 FIP, 12.2 K/9 2017 Kimbrel: 319 ERA+, 1.42 FIP, 16.4 K/9

This World Series marks the end of the last great generation of starting pitchers. Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw have combined for 6 Cy Young Awards, 1 MVP, 19 All-Star appearances, 15 top-five Cy Young finishes, 444 wins, 6,541 strikeouts, and 5,818.1 innings pitched.

The Blue Jays come back from 2–0 and 3–2 deficits in the ALCS to reach their first World Series since winning it all in 1993. George Springer continues to build on his incredible postseason resume with a 3-run go-ahead homer in the 7th inning. The World Series returns to Canada

Tonight’s Game 7 of the ALCS will produce history regardless of the outcome. If the Mariners win, it will be their first pennant in franchise history and they will become the last team to make a World Series appearance. If the Blue Jays win, Friday night will be our first World

One good righty reliever and another depth lefty should have the pen at least headed into spring in good shape. A name I’m interested in is Seranthony Domínguez, coming off a solid season with the Orioles/Jays with a 3.16 ERA and 11.3 K/9, and he has postseason experience.
Red Sox bullpen was second in baseball with a 3.41 ERA, in large part due to the Whitlock-Chapman combo being elite. To me, anything more than a couple of short-term depth adds in the Justin Wilson mold would be a surprise there. Prioritize other areas of the roster.

The Red Sox traded Mookie Betts for Alex Verdugo and Connor Wong. Red Sox fans have every right to be mad for the rest of their lives.

Check out @realcamstuart and me discussing the Red Sox starting rotation heading into the offseason and what an ideal winter could or should look like for the Sox as the MLB playoffs start to come to an end. https://t.co/1mw4r6aHnO

I’m starting to be in favor of extending a qualifying offer to Lucas Giolito. Worst case, he accepts the $22 million for one more season and slots back into what’s hopefully the number 4 spot in the rotation after an upgrade above him. I still see a scenario where he lands a

Yoshinobu Yamamoto just completed the first postseason complete game since 2017: 9 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K 111 pitches, 81 strikes (73%) 15 whiffs (8 SPL, 4 FB, 2 CB, 1 CU) The Dodgers have an absolute ace in his prime locked up for life…this team isn’t fair.

I’ve seen a lot of people mention the Cincinnati Reds as a potential trade partner for either Jarren Duran or Wilyer Abreu because of their abundance of pitching depth. That’s true, but the Reds also have a right-handed bat who might interest the Red Sox in Noelvi Marte. At the

There’s no reason Red Sox fans shouldn’t expect a rotation this talented heading into 2026, especially after the Devers trade: Garrett Crochet Joe Ryan Ranger Suárez Brayan Bello Connelly Early ——————— Payton Tolle Kutter Crawford Kyle Harrison Hunter Dobbins Patrick Sandoval

These two should be options 1A and 1B if the Red Sox intend to upgrade their rotation through free agency instead of the obvious Joe Ryan trade. Cease has elite swing-and-miss stuff, and Suárez is arguably one of the best postseason pitchers of all time. Who would you sign?

Kyle Hudson returning after his performance down the stretch is disrespectful to the fanbase. When one of the main talking points at the end of the season is the third base coach, you know there’s a problem.
Per sources, Red Sox hitting coach Pete Fatse, pitching coach Andrew Bailey, third base coach Kyle Hudson, first base coach Jose Flores, bullpen coach Chris Holt and bench coach Ramon Vazquez will all be returning

It’s been back to back seasons now where three of the four teams that made the League Championship Series had byes as the No. 1 or No. 2 seeds. The only exceptions are the 2024 Mets and 2025 Dodgers, who both beat the Phillies. The Red Sox must build a team capable of winning

The Philadelphia Phillies have swung and missed 57 times in the first two games of the NLDS. You can’t expect to win when you can’t put the ball in play. Is the offense cold because of the bye, or has the Dodgers’ pitching really been that good? It hasn’t affected the Blue Jays
