& countless calls have been made to the offices of elected officials. While this is not the outcome we hoped for, we want to thank you for your advocacy & assure you that we remain committed to advocating for a better world for all individuals with Down syndrome & their families.

and will communicate with our local affiliate partners on next steps to provide the greatest support possible. Throughout this process, our community has made their voices heard loud and clear. More than 13,000 messages have been sent through our Action Alert system. .

NDSS will continue to evaluate the impact on our community, who is affected, and what we can do next as changes take effect. We are accelerating our state-level work to ensure that states continue to provide critical services. .

Unfortunately, the legislation includes substantial cuts and changes to the Medicaid program and imposes additional barriers to access for individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities and their caregivers.
