The Himachal Pradesh Rural Water Supply project NDB’s project will help bring safe tap water to 500,000+ people in 1,255 villages, cutting waterborne diseases and medical costs, while helping women reclaim their time.

In the mountainous terrain of India's Himachal Pradesh, rural women spend up to 2 hours daily fetching water. NDB's loan of $ 80 million will help address critical water access issues in a region where 42% of habitations lack reliable clean drinking water. #NDBImpact

NDB and @SANRAL_za have signed a ZAR 7 billion loan agreement to fund rehabilitation and expansion of key national roads across South Africa. The upgrades include highway widening, bridge rehabilitation, and intersection improvements on major freight corridors.

BRICS Leaders reaffirm strong support for NDB in the Rio de Janeiro Declaration adopted at #BRICS2025. They highlight NDB's growing role in sustainable development, local currency financing & governance. They also back expanding membership & President Dilma Rousseff’s leadership.

NDB is considering financing the Project in Chinese renminbi, with an estimated amount of RMB 2,150 million (~USD 300 million). "When signed, this will be our second cross-border RMB-denominated loan, which will leverage Brazil’s clean energy potential,” said Dilma Rousseff.

NDB and State Grid Brazil Holding signed an MoU on the sidelines of #NDBAM25 to enhance electricity transmission capacity in Brazil. This initiative will enhance grid reliability, support renewable energy, and create over 10,000 jobs. Press release:
