At the 1966 conference, E. G. Williamson announced, "I am pleased to be the first President-Elect to ask a woman Dean to serve on the Executive Committee of @NASPAtweets, Patricia Cross. She is here, and I hope this is the beginning of the opening wedge."

Dr. Cross began her career in student affairs as assistant dean of women at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and then dean of students at Cornell University.

The 1924 @NASPATweets Conference was held in Ann Arbor on April 24-26 and hosted by the University of Michigan. The conference was attended by 29 deans and others. This marked the first conference where assistant deans attended the meeting.

The 30th annual conference of the National Association of Deans and Advisors of Men (now @NASPAtweets) took place on March 11-13, 1948 in Dallas and was hosted by SMU. There were 173 attendees from 39 states. The majority of those present still held the title of Dean of Men.

Scott Goodnight hosted the inaugural @NASPAtweets meeting at the Univ. of Wisconsin in 1919 and twice served as the association's president in 1919-1920 and again in 1927-1928. He was Wisconsin's Dean of Men from 1916 until his retirement in 1945. Goodnight passed away in 1972.

Congratulations to Dr. Anna G. Gonzalez, who is @NASPAtweets 2023 recipient of the Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean. Dr. G. serves as the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Wesley P. Lloyd passed away on March 7, 1977 at the age of 72. Dr. Lloyd was the 1950-51 @NASPAtweets' president. He spent the bulk of his career at BYU (1937-69) in a variety of roles including Dean of Men, Dean of Students, professor, and Dean of the Graduate School.
