As of March next year, funeral directors in Scotland will be subject to the @scotgov Code of Practice and inspections regime, a statutory Code designed to safeguard the care and dignity of deceased, & ensure transparency for bereaved families.

The Scottish Government has confirmed today that the Funeral Director Code of Practice will come into force on March 1st 2025, by which time all Funeral Director firms must, said Public Health Minister Jenni Minto, be “fully compliant”.
