In the Trooper prologue, you fight separatists, who see themselves as egalitarian freedom fighters opposing the oppressive Republic on Ord Mantell, but they’re actually being financed and propagandized by the Empire. Again, I suspect this would be written differently today.
Early in the SWTOR Jedi Knight story, you travel to Coruscant, where you discover that a major organization supposedly advocating for migrants' rights is actually a front for organized crime, which you dismantle I suspect this story would look different if it were written today

Next to the original trilogy, The Old Republic is Star Wars at its best. I really hope the new game does it justice.

Stepping back into Classic WoW after a *very* long break has been fun, but now I'm in the mood for some classic BioWare. I'm sure I'll return to Azeroth, but now it's time to step back into SWTOR.

Alright, so the more that I dig into the lore, the more WoW is becoming alive again. As I said, there is some depth to this world, but, if that is important to you, you have to be willing to look for it.
After a ~20 year break, I recently stepped back into WoW where I left off. Here are some of my thoughts in relation to SWTOR, my other favorite mmo. As a long-term Warcraft fan, I love the world. It has a huge scale with unique locations that create something broadly immersive.

The @Mythic_Mind Movies & Shows podcast is back! For this episode, the Fellowship finally got me to watch anime so we could discuss Princess Mononoke. I actually enjoyed it, and, although it is drawing from different roots, there are thematic overlaps w/ Tolkien. Links below!
