There’s a lot we have already learned from the pandemic that needs to be a part of our #healthcare system from now on, like the use of #teledentistry, mobile dentistry, and efforts to support a broader workforce. #EthicsChat (1/2)

We need to think beyond the clinical setting to community-based care to underserved communities. This includes the use of a broader #healthcare workforce to include community health workers, dental therapists, nurses, physician assistants and others. #EthicsChat (1/2)

There is a greater focus on community care and meeting patients where they are, and medical-dental integration is a big part of that work. We must continue to innovate and place prevention at the center of our #healthcare system. #EthicsChat

@JournalofEthics I think this may be in large part attributed to the medical-dental divide between professional practice and education of medicine and dentistry. This divide has been long-lasting in the US is the source of an often fractured practice model, one that not whole. #EthicsChat
