The popular quote says "Surviving is winning". But in a nutshell I didn't win, I endured. Sometimes that's what survival is all about and that is enduring what was never meant to be survived.

I gave answers when I didn't understand my own questions. I had to show up regardless of the fact that I wanted to disappear. I always screamed in silence and just somehow found the way to always make my pain poetic.

They said I handled it well but I didn't. I broke in ways words can't hold. I dragged myself through days that felt like drowning with open eyes. I laughed just enough to keep suspicion away.
