AI isn't scary. In sci-fi...super scary. In real life? The media is super lazy and will generate fear laced incidents. That's all tabloid journalism. Most AI is bad articles are National Enquirer Elvis sightings and alien anal probe experiences. AI as checkout lane fodder.

Neither Canada nor America have elected smart politicians (at every level). I don't care who ya vote for or what side you claim...it's been dumb politicians across the board for decades. Yet smart AI regulation requires nimble intelligence. Our governments are incapable of that.

America is gonna hard sell "China is dangerous!!" as an AI justification. Which is semi-legit. (Considering America feasts on meritless moral panics. This is a foolish country terrified of rap music, comic books and Satanists.) However, politicians are not smart.

Public Domain as a trailer for AI mostly confirms a dearth of talent. Like their excuses, lazy people out number the stars. Maybe it'll be different with AI access. Fleming's Bond's is public domain and what? Let's see where this goes. There's little hope. For today.

Look, I'll be the first to admit I loathe prequels. Pre-Kirk Star Trek is rubbish. Yet #Ted worked because it wasn't condescending to the audience (like #ITWelcomeToDerry is!). There's no wink-winks backstory to things you'll see in the later Ted movies. Pus? It was hella funny.

Though Gunn's #Supergirl...just by this trailer is superior to #TheFlashMovie Supergirl. Flash Supergirl was vapid dreck. But that's Supergirl, really. Supergirl is unremarkable. She's Coke Zero and a cheap corporate trademark. Dying has been her greatest comic contribution.

I'll happily do #Superman but I dunno about #Supergirl. While I do trust #JamesGunn I can't see any value that a Supergirl movie adds. Her comics are mostly eh...just okay. Power Girl is a bit more interesting. So: this #DCStudios movie will be a streamer watch.

Airplane crashes though grim are ultimately beneficial. They revise safety regulations. How does true crime correct or adjust law enforcement...especially bungling? I don't really care about a missing chick living in a van down by the river. Show me these dark arts instead.

I wanna see how and understand how true crime's economics work. What's the machine (old man behind the wizard) that prompts dominated national news? What makes one generic white girl "special?" What's the hook for the media and for the public?

Another generic white girl true crime doc coming soon from Netflix. This doc is three-parts, yo. Who was she?! Rather than focus on generic white girls I'd prefer to see a documentary breakdown of how these stories are elevated in the media: "Headlines!"
