Checking the receipt before you pay at a restaurant doesn’t make you look cheap. It’s you being mindful of your money and aware that waitstaff are humans and capable of making mistakes too.

Those aren’t valid reasons for creating a human. They’re shortsighted, circumstantial based reasons. Do some people eventually come around to being a parent? Yes. But as a society we have for to stop guilting people who are apprehensive about having kids, into having kids.

It makes me think about all the reasons people told me I should have children. Because I should think about all the women who can’t. Because I would “figure it out”. Because his father is a good man. Because my parents wanted grandkids.

Parenthood is HARD and as hard as it is it’s one of the largest contributions you will make to society. You are making a human that will go on to impact the lives of other humans.

I’ve been having conversations on my other platforms with people born from 1969-1992 regarding whether or not they were told they were loved by their parents. It’s shocked me.

One thing about me, I'm gonna try a promo code even if it's supposed to be "expired"

Update: I was finally able to speak with someone at Vivint who was warm, knoweldgable and has offered to support resolving this unfortunate issue.

can’t make this up. I’ve been on the phone with @VivintHome for 55 minutes & have been transferred to account services, billing, loyalty and cancellations. Haven’t spoken to a manager as requested ONCE and just got transferred BACK to the first person I spoke to 20 minutes ago.

Literally just received a call that @VivintHome sent my account to a collections company. At this point, it's on and now I'm ready to pursue legal action.

The final manager tried to tell me I had a cancelation fee. We pulled up my contract. I had a 1-month contract with them that expired in 2020. He had to walk that comment back and went through canceling my account and sent me an email confirmation.

Paid the money just to be done, even though I shouldn't have had to pay them. Continued to receive phone calls that I was overdue. Spoke with 3 managers between January and April and have all of the email documentation.

Sold my house in November and went through their cancellation procedure, including sending proof of home sale. Got a call in Jan that my account was overdue & told that I had to pay for the months they didn't cancel my service as requested.

My experience with @VivintHome has been infuriating. Long story short- I'm reporting them to the @CFPB and @bbb_us

Our reactions aren’t isolated or without reason. They’re a reflection of our inner world & what’s going on inside of us. You can learn a lot about yourself by simply asking, “What does my automatic response teach me about myself”.
