From safety lessons to fun giveaways, FDOT made an impact at Longwood’s 6th Annual Back-to-School event. Hundreds of goodie bags were handed out, attendees tested impaired driving goggles with the Target Zero team, and the Road Rangers met with families.

UPDATE 7:56 PM: All northbound lanes on I-75 have been reopened. The northbound I-75 on ramp at Exit 352 remains closed for vehicle recovery.

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 – Motorists are advised that all lanes along northbound I-75 are closed after S.R. 40 (Exit 352) in Marion County due to a crash on the roadway. The following detour is active until further notice.

FDOT volunteers joined the Ocala/Marion County community for a back-to-school and helmet fitting event, fitting about 200 helmets before families picked up backpacks, supplies, and more. Thank you to all who came out!

A new roundabout is open at U.S. 17 and Spring Garden Ave./Spring Garden Ranch Rd. in DeLeon Springs. Crews worked around the clock to have it ready before the 1st day of school. Roundabouts can reduce crashes by up to 82%. Final paving, landscaping & lighting are still to come.
