Islam needs more of these reasonable, scientific-minded voices that call for social reform where needed. I may not agree with Dr Husain on theology but do appreciate his scientific temperament. This temperament was what led to the Golden Age, and the that which you see from those.

Simplistic, uninformed, fallacious. "Conversion" is not a concept in Hinduism simply because it has no entry criteria. To adopt Hinduism you do not need to reject anything, only to accept. This is quite unique among world religions because every other religion requires you to.
Due to caste system, Hindus have no concept of "conversion", a total reorientation of the soul, just "enlightenment", an inner combustion that remains restrained to determined dynamics. Due to idolatry, if conversion occurs it HAS to be for material, worse, materialist reasons.
