Our first-gen @Apple HomePod died today by suddenly hissing and overheating with a very strong smell of electronic burning. Thankfully I was in the same room when it did this, so I could unplug it immediately. Anyone else experience issues like this with the first-gen model?.

As we age and our personal futures shorten, our own life projects fade in importance. We're supposed to redirect much of our remaining energy to cheering on and promoting the projects of the young - children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren (if so blessed), others to whom.
