Proud to share this new analysis co-authored with @nialakhalil. We explore how online hate, policy decisions, & political rhetoric have made life harder & more dangerous for Afghans in America. This is about more than immigration. It's about what happens when hate is normalized.

AAF condemns Pakistan’s recent attacks on Afghan soil, which killed and injured civilians. Afghanistan’s sovereignty must be respected. Such actions threaten peace and regional stability. AAF stands with the Afghan people — not with any faction or regime.

One of the lowest points in the history of a country I grew up loving and adoring. But I would be wrong to say this is the lowest it will get. This is the wholesale erasure of a very limited space left for online education, public voices, communication and public service.

🚨 Afghanistan has gone dark. The Taliban have imposed a nationwide internet blackout. Not just cut off from the world, but from each other. No news. No lifelines. No voices. This is how repression works in the dark. #AfghanistanBlackout #AfghanVoices #AfghanistanOffline

🚨 The Taliban have shut down internet in several Afghan provinces. Girls lose online education, families are cut off, and abuses happen in the dark. Yet, some call Afghanistan “safe and ready to return.” If this isn’t repression, what is? #KeepAfghanistanConnected

Dismantling refugee resettlement harms not just Afghan lives, but American businesses, writes @mustafababak, @Afghan_American, & @YaronSchwartz, @TentOrg, in @usnews. Restarting the program is not just a moral imperative, but also an economic one. https://t.co/C3xWNTMiiP

Afghan allies are at risk of deportation—or stranded abroad. We’ve talked about the moral costs. But there’s an economic one too. In @USNews, @yaronschwartz and I make the case: #ThisIsHome #RefugeesWelcome #RefugeeResettlement #AfghanAllies https://t.co/2eLX0396XK
