It was great to have a string of 'cellists performing in assembly @BronteHouse_ yesterday. #TeamDavy Year Eight players and #BronteBowSkills entertaining some new string fans.

All set for the second night of #YoungAddams We are looking forward to more wordplay, swordplay and song.

Behind the desk, BTEC Music Technology students mixed up a storm all night with clear audio and well judged levels for their final Live Sound assessment. #RidingTheFaders

Second half and still more quality. We somehow lost the Screaming Goats photos (sorry). Bleeding Green's seniors dug out their Y7 blazers, Black Ice went full throttle and Howie rocked his solos with a broken finger in Skid Risk.

First half...a great start. Highlights included Year Seven rocking Sweet Child of Mine with Milo going full-on Slash.

The McCarthy Theatre is almost ready for the #BattleofTheBands. Expect outrageous solos, amps cranked up to 11 and a lighting rig at full throttle...

A fantastic festive end to the term: the customary cheer of the Christmas Concert. Wishing all our performers, parents and #TeamDavy a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas.

It was great to be able to support Rawdon Town Council with a set of carols from the brass group last night. It was not a bleak midwinter but it was definitely crisp. Christmas is here for our #busymusicians

It was great to experience life in a professional studio for the day, with legendary producer Simon Humphreys. Stems and stereo mixes are now being worked over by the sixth form tech students...It may not be gold disc worthy, but we still look forward to the results.

Thanks to the @TheChairworks and Simon Humphreys for a great day with our music technology students (and Charlie) learningnsome of the art and science of studio recording.

That slightly low feeling, the day after a great service, this time magnified a few degrees. Time not only sorting the folders but also fondly remembering #MrC Thanks to @HalifaxMinster for hosting and to all who contributed.
