@MusicJHN congratulations on the best Jazz Night I can remember. Great choice of numbers, dance floor packed, singers taking on classic standards and owning them, tight band. What more could you ask to beat mid-winter blues? And the fish and chips were ace.

Here are some highlights from last term to update you all on what we have been getting up to 🎶🌟

We are so very excited for Jazz Night 2025, our 20th year of this fantastic event! Our musicians have been working hard rehearsing all year and we can’t wait to see you on that dance floor cheering them on, and raising vital funds for the wonderful @KISS_Charity

Here are some moments from our Musical Theatre Night, a very special evening showcasing our talented and dedicated musicians and dancers in the school 🎟️🎭

These wonderful students led us in some beautiful music as part of a very moving Remembrance Service

Our 6th form students made weekly visits to the staff and patients at the Lister Hospital to provide some entertainment on the wards. They certainly brought many smiles to many faces and we are very grateful to them all

Our Concert Band and Choir lead the music in our Feast Day Mass and Whole School celebrations. As usual, they did the department and the school proud! 🌟

Our KISS Music Nights have continued to be a success this year, thanks to our talented students and alumni and the wonderful and supportive staff at The Orange Tree 🇺🇬🌟

As usual, our 6th formers did us so proud providing musical entertainment to our visitors on Open Evening 🥁🎸

These two incredibly talented musicians represented SJHN at the DOWAT’s Young Musician of the Year Awards. They blew the audience away and certainly did us proud! Well done Stephane and Freya 👏🏼

We need to catch up our Twitter followers with the fantastic year we have had so far, starting with the amazing day we had watching our talented alumni student, Elena, open for Paloma Faith at Pub In The Park. Keep an eye out for her music, we promise you, she’s one to watch 🎵

Reminder we have Choir and Concert Band tomorrow! We are getting excited for our Summer Concert, so make sure you come along to join the fun 🥁🎺

It has been a busy few weeks in the department, so even more amazing to see so many of our students sharing their talents outside of school. Brilliant performers, brilliant crowds and lots of money raised for @KISS_Charity at one of the gigs! What a fantastic group 👏🏼 well done!

Our BTEC Music Performance students had a big week last week! Our Year 12 students had their assessed Ensemble Performances and our Year 13’s had their assessed Solo Performances. They have all worked so hard and we were so impressed with the talent displayed! Very proud 👏🏼

We are back with our monthly KISS Music Night this Thursday 25th! We have some brilliant performers lined up, so come down and support them and our wonderful @KISS_Charity 🇺🇬🎶🌟

We are so incredibly proud of our cast and crew for ‘Legally Blonde’ and we have all just been having so much fun! Never mind the fact that it as an absolute must see 👏🏼🙌🏻 So excited for 2 more tomorrow 👩🏼‍⚖️💅🏼🎟️💃🏼
