The Muscatine High School girls tennis team squared off with Davenport Assumption in a conference dual meet Monday evening at Weed Park. Olive Schmidt recorded the lone win for the Muskies at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-2 victory). MHS is home Thursday vs. Dav. West at 4 pm.

Susan Clark Junior High welcomed this year's class of seventh graders Friday for New Muskie Day. After a school assembly, students spent the day getting into their classrooms, meeting teachers, learning how to use lockers and navigating the building. Good luck, 7th graders!

Muscatine High School seniors gathered on the football field Friday for Senior Sunrise, a tradition where 12th graders gather to watch the sunrise, fostering unity and marking the start of their last year of school together. Best of luck to our seniors! They start class Monday.

Muscatine High School held its Back to School Night on Thursday. Students had a chance to get their class schedule, meet teachers, counselors and administrators & tour the building with their families. Friday is New Muskie Day for ninth graders, with a two-hour early dismissal.

There was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new SCJH gymnasium on Wednesday. SCJH physical education teacher Katie Hyink and athletic director Bob Long discuss the impact the gym space has on its PE classes and after-school activities.

It was Back to School Night at Susan Clark Junior High. Students and families had chance to tour the school, open their lockers, walk their class schedule, meet their teachers and sign up for activities. We had a fabulous turnout. New Muskie Day is Friday for 7th graders!
