Brian McGill argues that we should review 2 papers for each submission we make to a journal. If your paper gets rejected and you end up submitting to 3 different journals, then you owe the community 6 reviews. I agree with the general principle https://t.co/dZBhkEEbik...

A weird thing happened in scientific publishing during COVID. And it hasn’t gone away. Publications went up 30-50%. And responses to requests to review went down 30-50%. I know the actual statistic…

Getting a Master's degree is gaining experience. The research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills developed are highly valuable. Also, there's no such thing as being 'overqualified' if you're applying for positions aligned with your education level!!!
Getting a masters without job experience is one of those bad decisions that isn't talked about enough. Can't be unemployed and overqualified.

I signed too.
There are attempts to change scientific species names because they are considered inappropriate. This document, which I signed with more than 1500 botanists and zoologists, explains four main reasons for preserving the stability of taxonomic nomenclature. https://t.co/hIVJi3a9Hx
