The @DailyMirror never names who wrote the so-called “intelligence report” behind this story. No names, authors, nothing. Just verbatim quotes. Client journalism at its finest: anonymous outfits draft, hand it to friendly journalists, and the media manufacture panic and fear.

Sections of the UK media are again whipping up manufactured outrage about the so called “Muslim Brotherhood”. We’ve seen this playbook before, and the same forces are driving it again. I break down for @MiddleEastEye what’s behind this recycled panic:

Foreign smear campaigns, lobbying and domestic opportunism have turned a vague label into a political weapon that treats British Muslim civil society as inherently suspect

We talk a lot about Britain’s challenges but rarely about the people ready to meet them. My latest for @EA_WorldView on the role British Muslims can play in rebuilding the UK.

Labour has done the impossible and united both the right and left against their ridiculous plans to destroy our justice system.
The jury trial has been an essential part of our freedoms for centuries. It is our protection against the state. For the government to remove it in most cases will give our politicised judiciary far too much power. Next, they will move to plea bargaining, and nearly all cases

For years much of the Left only valued Muslims for our votes while looking down on our beliefs and values. Their “solidarity” always came with a demand for ideological uniformity. It was never an alliance of equals.
Here's a big worry about the 'Your Party' debacles: That it's opening up a divide between the left and Muslim communities. This would be tragic, for many reasons, and there appears to be little care or anxiety among some of those involved in YP about this.

This is inhumane. You survive a war or some catastrophe and you can’t bring your kids or partner with you? This is a monstrous unforgivable policy
🔴 Refugees will be barred from bringing their families to the UK unless they can show they are earning enough to pay for their upkeep without claiming benefits. Read the latest here: https://t.co/JlE9wDiA6J

If this is true, it's disgusting. People genuinely fleeing war and persecution shouldn't have their last possessions stolen by the state. This isn't "tough" it's a race to the bottom with Reform, and a slippery slope towards something far darker. We should be better than this.

It's time for British Muslims to chart their own political course, not tied to old alliances. More is explained here👇 https://t.co/lPAw9ULRfY

"Answer for UK Muslims lies not in outdated alliances nor in waiting for others, but in forging our own political path with moral pragmatism"
After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to step out of the steering process for Your Party. I wish those who continue to work on this endeavour the very best of luck and hope their hard work achieves the results they desire.

When international law collapses, so do our rights. In my latest piece, I explore how Britain, once an architect of the post-war order, is now complicit in its erosion. https://t.co/uMKN6VxdWK

Britain helped build the post-war legal order. Now it’s helping to dismantle it. From Gaza to Westminster, international law is being rewritten — or ignored.

This is what the degradation of international law looks like From Israels genocide in Gaza, to Trump, and now Britain’s PM a former human rights lawyer trying to undermine these protections Lets not act surprised when dictators follow the same playbook https://t.co/WmmmSj08eI

The UK needs to "look again" at how to tackle mass migration, but those genuinely fleeing persecution should still be given asylum, the PM says.

Gaza has exposed the bankruptcy of our political leaders. For 25 years, British Muslim have been tied to the left, only on their terms. In my new piece for @EA_WorldView, I argue the next 25 years must chart a new course, rooted in moral pragmatism:

He’s not my politics. But the tiresome, petty, factional outpouring of Labour’s right wing directed against the popular Labour mayor of Manchester underline the hard and extremely dislikable face of the present Labour government.
