Without relationships, no form of evangelism can truly succeed. While the preaching of the gospel must not cease, prioritizing information over connection will only result in false success.

So yesterday we spent the Sabbath afternoon at her grandparents' place, even had our supper there as a family. We also had family prayer time there and left for home. Getting home, we just went to our bedrooms. Girl protested, "How can we! Let's pray". We knelt & prayed, again🤣

My daughter doesn't yet understand that just a one "God bless our food" covers every plate on the table. So when it's time to eat, she prays for her plate, then mine, then her mum's, lastly her lil sister's. All the while you just can't wait to eat🤣🤣🤣 Lovely though.

"Arguing" with some people — no matter how good you are — is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can make all the logical moves, but at some point the bird will poop on the board, knock over the pieces and then strut around like it won anyway.

While we were yet sinners — and His enemies — God did not fight us. Instead He fought for us and reconciled us to Himself through the death of His Son, thus demonstrating His love. —Rom 5:6-10, personal paraphrase

“How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? — Num 23:8 A total of 21 bulls and 21 rams just for Balaam to curse Israel on behalf of Balak. You just can't hotspot God your hatred. Hatred is a waste of resources, strength, and time. Hatred is self-sabotage. Love people.

The Pharisee & the Publican: When prayer is taken as standing before a mirror and not a window- 1. You'll pray to yourself thinking you're praying to God. 2. You'll congratulate yourself for not being like other people, and yet fail to see that you're not much like God either.

Parable of the Good Samaritan: 1. The work you neglect, God will find someone to do it. 2. Never limit God to you and your own. He works even outside your own grouping. 3. Remain human in your religiosity 4. Who your neighbor is isn't the issue. Be the neighbor, be present.

In our efforts to prove validity of #one, it is possible to do so to the neglect of #nine in the process keeping #one as "atonement" for neglecting #nine.

THE SERMON AS SACRED ART The pulpit is a holy place and the sermon is sacred art. To stand in front of a congregation and preach must be approached with conscious reverence and intelligent preparation, because two extraordinary things are taking place in those moments: First,

That there is still tomorrow means there is more to your life than you can see today. Pause, hope, and have faith in God. Don't be hard on yourself. Good night.

“God has always chosen to be invisible because He’s supposed to be seen in His people. When the world says, ‘Where is God?’ it’s not an indictment of God. It’s an indictment of us.”
