I have no issues with parents choosing private schools. However, if those schools will not accept ALL children and there is no accountability system in place, I have a REAL problem with those schools receiving public funds.
Tomorrow, the General Assembly will convene and attempt to force North Carolina to opt into a new federal voucher program. Here are some things to know:

It was SO good to be back serving the Wildcat community yesterday. We partnered with volunteers from @activategood to refresh the teachers’ restrooms, lounge, and the gymnasium. I won’t spoil anything with final pictures, but we hope you all enjoy! You all deserve it ♥️

Yesterday marked the end of my chapter at Walnut Creek and the start of a new chapter in my leadership journey. I’m so grateful for the lessons learned, advice received, and friendships built. WCES, you will forever hold a place in my heart, and I know you’ll be in good hands ♥️

Our Winter Concert was a success! Songs were sang 🎶 , raffles (by our PTA) were won 🎁 , hot chocolate was consumed ☕️ , and a great time was had! ❄️ Special shoutout to Mrs. McGuinness for her hard work in preparing the song selections for each grade!
