Nowruz, referring to spring equinox, is a symphony of new beginnings symbolizing rebirth of nature. As tradition, a ceremonial table is organized with 7 items each starting with the letter S or Seen in Farsi. The 7 items symbolize aspects of good fortune for the coming year.

Kwanzaa is a celebration from Dec 26 - Jan 1 that honours Black history & culture. The 7 candles represent Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work/responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity), Imani (faith).

Yesterday, we had our “Rock n Roll Ceremony” where we placed our carefully designed rocks in our front garden. We’ve learned that there is only one you, and we are celebrating what makes us all unique.
