It looks to them like the younger players are ungrateful & don't appreciate anything, & while that may be true in some cases, the reality is the league is in a much different place now. They can fight for more, but the retired vets have never really been in a position to do that.

I think that each era goes through a different experience and a lot of them were sacrificing to keep the league alive. They were getting their money overseas, so they were just happy to be here & play at home. But we're well past that point now and I think that's hard to process.

One thing I will say is this is a common thread with the veterans. My rookie year the vets were begging us to take whatever deal the W handed us during CBA negotiations. The younger players wanted to fight and we ended up with one of, if not the worst, CBA we ever had. .
Candace saying the players shouldn’t have worn the “pay us what you owe us” shirts if they weren’t going to play hard in the all star game.

Every single thing I have heard about the Valkyries organization has been great, they are doing it right
Shotout to the Valkyries man. season ticket guy randomly called and said "hey we see you haven't missed a game, do you want to bring your family down to the tunnel to high five the players on the way out of halftime?". Dope experience for the kids.

Also the ND administration is notorious for buying into that tradition stuff. We ain't paying nowhere close to these other schools, so creating what she has been able to with these handicaps and still having a lot of these kids staying to graduate should say something.

With all due respect, in an era where kids are transferring for chipping their nail polish during a game, I don't think we need answers from coaches anymore. We should all know what it is at this point, unless it's egregious, which this was not lol.
