Retweet if you have ever been victimized the “teacher bag”—you know, the big bag of papers you lugged home after work on Friday that you were supposed to organize/grade only to not touch it at all over the weekend?? That one?.

from a teacher lens…this ties well with economics because it is a classic example of bartering for goods and services!. from a regular human lens…I was just bribed by a 7 year old.

It’s been tough to think about anything else but right now all I can hope for is that educators continue to teach a generation of children who are far more compassionate and loving than the current world we live in.

Teaching second grade means explicitly telling your students to NOT bring any live animals to Show and Tell.

Absolutely no disrespect to people who spend money on their classrooms (I do it all the time!) As a newer teacher, I’ve used my own money and been lucky to have people donate money and supplies for my room. But that shouldn’t be the case. FUND PUBLIC SCHOOLS WITH MORE MONEY!!!!!.

I think equity is such a HUGE issue discussed in schools when it relates to students but the issue of equity presents itself in every level in every institution. Socioeconomic gaps also exist among educators too!.

I’ve been thinking about this a LOT recently. As more funding gets taken away, the burden of buying and supplying your classroom falls heavier on teachers. What happens when your household income doesn’t support that? What happens if you haven’t accrued generational wealth?
