After reading a spooky book together, our scholars wrote 2-sentences scary stories so we can publish them for the school to read. The results are amazing! @ShadowOaksOwls has some of the most creative writers! @SBISDLibraries @SBISD

For Hispanic Heritage Month, we read this vibrant book that highlights Dominican cuisine and culture. I gave them the recipe from the book and challenged them to make it. A student brought back the Mangú de Plátano that he made for me to try! I was so impressed! @ShadowOaksOwls
