So call your MLA, the @SaskSchoolBoard, and anyone who will listen. The @SaskTeachersFed is fighting tooth and nail for our sask kids. Or you can just hope your school wins the sask party lottery for desperately needed projects. 7/7

I do not want to beg for the funding my students need, they are our future. Until we stop seeing them as an expense, and start understanding they are an investment I fear this Hunger Games grant project is just the beginning. 6/7

Don’t give me your “but the NDP did this…” the last time they were in power I was in the 10th grade. This issue is of the sask parties making entirely. 5/7

At its core this grant is a divisive tactic that refuses to address the main issue. All of our schools are suffering from years of chronic underfunding. 4/7

Of note, the Sask Distance Learning Centre pet project of the sask party has received two of the highest value approved projects totalling 130,000 dollars alone. 3/7

I’ve purposely left out divisions and schools. I’m not faulting anyone for identifying a need and applying, but we all need these supports. The government shouldn’t be proud to hand out needed funding and supplies to the few groups willing to jump through their hoops. 2/7

Let’s talk the Teacher Innovation fund the @SaskParty keeps boasting about. Here are all the approved projects. How many of these grants would benefit all schools? Most of them. A regulation space, PD finding, math manipulatives… we all need these things. 1/7

@SaskTeachersFed For those putting this on the teachers and STF, all the government had to do was agree to work with a neutral 3rd party. It was binding arbitration for both sides. Instead they double downed and made it blatantly obvious they were only wanting to commit to election year funding.

Even if *the only* things teachers were asking for was a moderately higher salary (it’s not)- like bro we’re paying $14 for a bag of grapes and teachers are buying their own dry erase markers and your kid just sneezed in their mouth - I think it’s fair.
