Yesterday was my last day at @SpringwestA I feel so lucky to have gotten to work with some of the most amazing people: a fantastic staff team and unforgettable students who burrow into your heart. I learnt, taught and laughed so much here; I will truelly treasure and miss SWA

To round off their natural forms project year 7 completed these stunning A3 tree silhouette with blended warm and cool colours in the negative spaces between the branches on a sunset backdrop using oil pastels. @SpringwestA @SpringwestArt

Year 8 studied Picasso’s #Guernica both historically and artistically; making fact files and drawing studied. For the collaborative piece each were given a section of the painting to enlarge. I can’t wait to see all their work displayed as a mural @SpringwestArt @SpringwestArt

Year 8 handed in some last minute Picasso style portrait this week as an extension to our cubism work this term, loving the bright colours from 8ATA and the compositions from 8JWA drawings. @SpringwestArt @SpringwestA
