What a way to kick-start my morning! @OmahaPubSchool welcomed acclaimed national keynote speaker John Bacon to share his work with our district's leaders! He was inspiring, practical and leveraged his story as an athlete and hockey coach to cultivate connections to our Moonshot!

Our @OmahaPubSchool and @EmpowerOmaha partnership is in full effect this morning with hundreds of students. We are grateful for the collaboration and appreciated getting feedback from students via empathy interviews. It takes a village!

Thank you to our @OmahaPubSchool families who gathered together tonight to provide input on OUR Moonshot. All students will read on grade level by 2030. This is our collective goal. Parents/guardians and community members are our partners in this mission critical work.

Today @OPS_Highland celebrated Quarter 1 student attendance. 160 students missed 2 days or less & 39 achieved perfect attendance! 199 recognized students total! Perfect attendance students will sign the Highland HERO bulletin board. Be Present-Be Powerful-ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
