Middle block today was a class party with tons of treats including a candy salad and a 72 question game of @kahoot made up of Qs Ss created about what we learned this year.

This afternoon: our healthy lunch project. We served the Grade 3/4 and Grade 4 classes who placed their orders two weeks ago via Google Form. Thanks to our parent volunteers and to families for donating $ to buy the ingredients! We enjoyed the leftovers of our creations 🍕 🥗

This morning: our last Brain Breakfast, our last read aloud, working on our memory books/getting signatures of classmates, and a final gym class where we played Mystery Number Tag and Elimination Dodgeball.

2nd @Kahoot of the final week. Today was 48 questions to see how well Ss know each other. Each S submitted one or two facts about themselves and I created the game using the facts. We learned some surprising facts about our classmates!

End of Year Class Ceremony. A yearly tradition. This year I added in a gift - each student got an emotional support taco with a quote card. A reminder of my repeated message to them that it’s ok to not be ok.

We had our Grade 6 Celebration today! 🎉Thanks to all the family members who attended to celebrate our Grade 6 students as they finish off their time at LEX and move onto middle school!

Yesterday in Math Ss created their own Find the Value puzzles inspired by the ones we did each Monday from @mashupmath. They then walked around and tried to solve each other’s puzzles.

Warm Fuzzies on a Wednesday. We did a Feel Good Friday for everyone in our class today and also included our teachers and our school secretary. Filled our board with so many kind messages before we handed them out to their recipients.

Our Science mind maps. Ss worked independently or with a partner to find out how astronauts on the ISS eat, sleep, keep clean, and entertain themselves.

We explored probability today with some practice activities - dice rolling and coin flips. We found that the more tests we did the closer the experimental probability was to the theoretical probability.

Today for Math Ss worked in their groups to figure out the cost of the ingredients for their pizza and side dish options for healthy lunches. Next week we head to FreshCo to shop!
