P1 @StrathmorePS have started their @EmotionWorksCIC journey by learning about the orange cog. They drew black pen drawings showing different emotions that they know. Next steps are to apply their knowledge of emotion words to characters in stories.

Week 1 of @StrathmorePS Garden Gang done ✔️ We were too busy to get many photos, but it was a productive afternoon with 18 super keen children weeding in preparation for flowers at the front and veg in our raised beds. Plus,a tidy of the polytunnel was DEFINITELY needed!🌼🌹🥕🥔

Well done to both P5 classes! 1st and 2nd place in the Angus Sumdog maths contest. 🏆.

A fabulous afternoon spent with @StrathmorePS Rights Respecting Rockstars getting our new allotment sorted at the Gallowshade Community Links Garden. Thanks to @MrsHendersonK for helping with the weeding. Next, it's the school planters! Nom nom nom 🥔🥕🥬🥦🧅🍓

Any apprenticeships going @Dishoom ? I have a very excited 1 year old who loves searching for the Malabar paratha recipe every time I get the book out (although he does shout, "Rolls!" as he's doing it, but don't hold that against him)

@Visit_Angus @VisitScotland if you ever need any new staff members to help you create images to boost tourism, I can recommend 24 x 6/7 year olds 😉.

For our last day together P2 @StrathmorePS revisited our Term 2 topic; Minibeasts. We went on a big hunt, watched James & the Giant 🍑 (finally!) & made some fruit insects. Oh, and the stars aligned so that we eventually got to try dragon fruit! Consensus being it's very bland 😶

At Strathmore, we are a tight team. Until 'moving classrooms day'. Then it's every man and woman for themselves. @StrathmorePS I love you all, but today I've got my elbows out and I'm taking all the good furniture with me. 🤣.

Today P2 @StrathmorePS showcased their individual artworks & class mural inspired by the Angus Glens to their families as well as our guest judge @DouglasRoulston (THANK YOU!) during our art gallery open afternoon. The children can’t wait to get to @ForAcadArt now😉
