Students loved learning about ballet and bharatanatyam dancing, inspired by @ForestofReading nominated book “Bharatanatyam in Ballet Shoes”. We made ghungroo (anklets with bells) and learned some dance steps so we could hear our ghungroo jingle! @DunwichDuttonPS @TVDSBLiteracy

Just before Easter the grade ones did some unplugged coding! “How can you travel around and collect all the eggs?” “What path will you take?” We used dry erase markers and students had to complete 3 different paths before they could eat their eggs!@DunwichDuttonPS @TVDSB_STEM

Our @crunchlabs box came just in time for the ice day today! This is the best subscription box out there for little (and big) engineers! We highly recommend! I also love that it incorporates the ‘A’ in STEAM! 🎨

Students loved @ForestofReading nominee ‘Meena’s Mindful Moment’ by @tathaide and got creative designing their own Hurly Burly Hullabaloo! They decorated around their Hullabaloo with images of things that make them feel calm and relaxed.

2wks ago we did a whole-school read aloud of @ForestofReading book “No More Plastic.” Inspired by the story, classes created plastic sculptures of sea creatures. Today we created a live diorama called “Protect Our Waterways” and reflected on our plastic use @DunwichDuttonPS
