A5 We have to model, discuss, and continue to provide ss w/ the opportunity to use them within their daily reading lives. Encourage them to have conversations about them and keep them current in the classroom. If we stop referring to them the ss will stop using them. #hcpsread.

A2 I want to try the Poster strategy. I like the idea of all ss writing their thoughts at the same time instead of a discussion where only one person shares at a time. I also like the idea of ss having a discussion after the quiet writing time is over. #hcpsread.

A1 When ss talk about what they are reading they go back in the text and reread and revise their thinking after hearing what others say. Deeper thinking=deeper understanding #hcpsread.

A5 when planning ts have to decide which strategies are going to be useful for the purpose of the lesson and most benefical to the ss. With strategies less is more so they know when and how to use them. #hcpsread.
