My team came in second in our #Bryan survivor challenge after an epic rock-paper-scissors tie breaker. Victory is sweet! Thanks @SChester_FHSD, @MrGruener, and @BryanMiddleFHSD for the challenges and the prizes. #BackToSchool #MiddleSchool #FHSD

As we wind down this never ending school year we played a little semester review Jeopardy with a buzzer system, just for funsies. Winning teams got bragging rights. And of course trophies! #Jeopardy #GoForTheGlory #8thGrade #IsItSummerYet

When you take the career interest test you give your middle school FCS students and it tells you to be a middle school #FCSTeacher... OK, but I’m really a #HistoryTeacher!

My students loved previewing some important westward expansion concepts with @gimkit today. We played boss mode, floor is lava mode, and zombies vs humans mode!

Something to keep in my back pocket, just in case! Or you know, share with my maternity sub since I’m not the one actually starting the year...

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Thinking about next year is overwhelming and scary. I am going to take some time to enjoy my summer for a bit until we know more!
I don’t know what will happen this fall when schools across the US should be opening, but I do know that worrying about it will not change anything. Try your best to enjoy your summer break when it comes and focus on your mental health.

This is the best news I’ve heard in weeks! Can. Not. Wait.
Surprise! The original Broadway production of Hamilton, filmed LIVE onstage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, is now coming exclusively to @DisneyPlus this July 3rd. Shout it to the rooftops! #Hamilfilm

Preach it, Gerry! This whole situation is exhausting.
It’s incomprehensible that we are making many concessions in education but there are some making no changes in expectations for teachers, with some even adding to their workload. This is creating a more stressful situation by ignoring teacher anxiety and exhaustion. Lighten up!

This is not unexpected, but sad all the same. I can’t believe how long it will be before I teach in my classroom again.
As a result of Governor Parson’s directive, FHSD and all Missouri school districts will be closed for the remainder of the school year. This is necessary to protect the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community. Read more: https://t.co/XVQeza6RiG

We’re playing some scheduled @Gimkit all day today. So glad my students wanted to do our “normal” classroom stuff during this time. Hope to see lots more kids at our time slots all day! #distancelearning #FHSDLearns

So I got to introduce @HeritageIntBand to @gimkit tonight. It was funny because it was one of my kits and the questions were all very US history specific. Who do you think won? #teacherlife

Oh, help me. First day of e-learning and while I’m looking for Kansas-Nebraska Act videos, my music teacher husband @HeritageIntBand is playing “Phantom of the Opera” on the xylophone he brought home from school... #distancelearning #teacherlife #Quarantine

Loved hearing @CameronSharonE discuss fiction in general, and her new book with some of our 8th graders. Thanks to @BryanCommons for including us and for providing opportunities for our #BryanPatriots to hear from authors! #ReadAcrossAmericaWeek #literacy
