Kindergarten artists learned about the rainbow 🌈 this week. We used Mr. Paintbrush to paint our own rainbows, and enjoyed dancing to the ROY G. BIV song! Ss are loving having 3rd grade art helpers join us. Their compassion melts my heart! ❤️

There was a magical visitor in the art room this week! 🍀 Ss used clues to figure out who they thought visited the art room, read “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” and learned to use paper sculpture techniques to create a leprechaun trap. Check out these amazing paper sculptures!!!

Kids are always watching! How we talk about our own art can directly impact the way a child feels about their work. It's ok to not feel very confident drawing for others when we may not feel it's our strength-but just like we tell our students and kids... just do your best!✏️
I say stuff I shouldn’t in front of my kids on a nearly daily basis — but this is one thing I’m particularly sensitive to. Kids are always watching and always listening, and are learning how to treat themselves based on the way we treat ourselves.
