Our P2b class charter is based on the story The Crayon Box that talked. As a class we discussed what we wanted our classroom to look like, sound like and feel like as well as the children’s rights. We are all special, but when we all work together we can create amazing things.

Today we discussed Dyslexia and read Abdul’s story. He loves writing stories, but struggles when writing them down. Abdul decides his stories just aren’t meant to be written down…until a special visitor comes to class and shows him that even the best writers can make mistakes.

Today we continued our learning about odd and even numbers. We know that odd numbers end with a 1,3,5,7 and 9 and even numbers end with a 0,2,4,6, 8. Using this rule we can identify any number up to 100 and say whether it is odd or even. For PE we enjoyed time on the bikes.

Today we enjoyed completing static electricity experiments. Some experiments were successful whilst others didn’t work as well. We innovated our story of the Baby Mouse changing it to a dragon, a monkey and a bunny to name a few. Lots of creations in between!

Today for Talk 4 Writing we focused on “The Power of Three” to describe the setting of a haunted house! We were so good at thinking of adjectives. Some children even made their own setting with the blocks: 3 bears Cottage. 🐻 🐻🧸
