My @GRHS_Stallions students had an awesome opportunity today! They learned more about engineering and the courses and programs offered by @ECPIUniversity related to engineering. I think it clicked for them that engineering relates to almost every career path!

Here are some student samples from the career choice board... First a foldable, then a Jeopardy style game, and a poem! I love grading these projects. 😀

Everyone loves a choice board, right?? I will say, I notice a HUGE difference in participation during a unit when I let my students choose how they will demonstrate their understanding of a concept. I can't wait to share some products of this board with you soon!

Remember the technical drawings of the Rubik's Cube I shared last week? Well here are the computer-aided drawings created by the same student!

Today we talked about how engineerings can effectively communicate ideas and solutions through technical drawing. Here is a student sample of how an object can be turned into an isometric drawing and an orthographic projection!

Here are some cool helmet designs from my Engineering students! Each group was asked to modify a standard helmet to meet the needs of a specific group (people with long hair, bald people, young kids, teens, and commuters). Can you guess which helmet was designed for each group?
