My highlight of today @DaubeneyAcademy was stumbling across this year 7 boys vs girls volleyball match at lunchtime. So lovely to see and exactly what children that age should be doing. 😁

Absolutely gutted to hear of Mr Herbert's passing today. He was the main inspiration for me becoming a teacher in the first place. Firm but fair, incredibly funny, very supportive and encouraging. Kept a large group of us roguish boys on the straight and narrow. A great man. 💔💔

So these 2 are off on a residential. Just making everyone aware so that people are not too alarmed if me and my eldest start to look a bit hungry, dishevelled, broken, upset and disorganised. Check-ins and food parcels are most welcome. 😟
