December 11 2024 was just yesterday and it was a great day cause I signed to @MVCC_Hoops and about to put in more countless hours with team and individually, getting ready for a National 2025-2026 championship Run🟢🫡.

Fast forward later through the year of 2024… I’m back hooping, back dunking, back locking up 94 feet. Why? Because I consider myself the person you call to get the job done. I just had to call on myself this time around💜💜.

“Mamaaa ! Come get me, son son tieddd”. you know mothers will be mothers she hit me with “Boochie what the H*** wrong with you I’m not about to be chasing you around” I told her I was preparing for a marathon. She was blew😂😘I love you Ma.

Few more months in and 15 surgeries later getting us to the month of April of 2024 I was strong enough to walk for miles cause I sold my car by midway airport and walked back to Xsport on Harlem in Lyons to catch up on All the money I missed out on.

And a week later I’m a lil kid in the park flying through the house on my walker, parents got to hide the walker from me😂💯if you mentally strong on top of having heart cause having heart is having confidence and have some faith, I promise you, you gone be just alright !.

Now it’s a couple months down the line and few more surgeries in on top of doing what I had to do, I’m taking my first steps and able to pull myself up to my walker… “you’ll never know how it turn out if you give up, one step leads to many” - said to myself every step.

With the support of my SUPER parents. made this journey relatively easy cause it was a house of peace, clean asl, good food a personal chef (pops) and well as jumping WiFi, aw yeah and a balcony to look at the sunrise… the good life😂❤️shout out to my SUPER parents! ifykyk.

For many months i did my own therapy. Workouts that was given to me and free workouts from one of the best platforms that’s out there (YouTube)… like I also said too, lots of meditation and reading books to keep my mind at peace and from snapping out going crazy. Almost happened.

I was always told you know you better than anybody… and I do. I knew I wasn’t going to give up and I knew I didn’t need anyone next to me making sure I did what I needed to do. I love my doctors but this get back for me has been personal… Solo journey💪🏾.

Yeah I did it, why? Many people counting on me many people doubted me many people want to see how this turn out. Plus “my grandad served in 2 wars I’m not about to wuss out”. locked all the way in with great doctors and therapist, but I eventually stop therapy not to long after.

Having to do therapy at a very passive rate but almost everyday was also a mental battle because “I was just squatting 500+ a week ago with pops now I can only do 10 pounds on the leg press”. Crazy but time waits on no one. It’s either I did it or I didn’t… Just do it✔️.

Broken Humorous replaced with a plate and 8 bolts keeping my arm attached, broken femur replaced with a metal rod and 4 nails keeping my leg attached, blew every tendon in both knees, shooting hand (lefty) broke with minimum flexibility. But I still got a clip ifykyk.

I’m from Chicago we built different and very head strong. No way I just went from jumping over anyone head to can’t walk. Took it upon myself to start meditating and imagining how I would look WHEN I do hoop again “I’ll be back😆” is all I would say looking at the ceiling in bed.

Being told that I would never walk again and if I did it would be a minimum of 7 years. I looked at pops and we both had the look of “I’m Reggie Strong, I’m built for this”. But I’m a very humble person if you know me. Told doc Ok and I just remained optimistic never complaining.

“Let’s stop at the gas station I need some shades too much light” nahh, I just didn’t want my parents to see my eyes “😳”. I’m telling yuh, that un going pain nothing to play with😂💯. No meds meaning I chose not to, I’m Anti Meds. Pro- “it’s all mental”.
