The visit of Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales will live long in the memory for pupils and staff @Hymers_College. It certainly added excitement and set the scene for welcoming more visitors to the school at this Saturday’s Open Morning!

As we would have expected, Her Royal Highness came across as authentic, natural and down-to-earth, putting those who met her entirely at ease. Members of the @Hymers_College community will remember her flying visit for many years to come. @HMC_Org @looknorthBBC @peter_levy
We were delighted to welcome the HRH Princess of Wales at Hymers College after today's appointment in the city. She met with our Head, Mr Stanley and Vanessa, one of our heads of school, before surprising some excited students with a quick chat and high fives!

It’s been a great pleasure to welcome parents of children who are new to the Senior School @Hymers_College! The Headmaster’s Reception is a lovely opportunity for parents and teachers to put faces to names, as the children begin their lives as Hymerians.

There are well over 200 in attendance at our Y11 and Y13 Student and Parent Revision Workshop @Hymers_College. Hopefully lots to take away with regard to techniques, physical environment, digital detoxing and timetable planning! Thanks to all involved in running tonight’s event!

It was lovely start to the day with a full Senior School assembly celebrating the achievements of pupils @Hymers_College in a wide range of activities in the summer break and giving a special welcome to all new pupils and staff.
The next academic term has begun at Hymers College and Hymers Hessle Mount! We snapped a few photos of excited Year 7 pupils in the Quad this morning waiting to start and Suprithi, a Head of School, filling the Main Hall with beautiful piano music. Good luck this term everyone!

Game day! Very disappointed to be missing the first @HullCity match of the season, but we’ll be at the other 22 home matches! We’ll be supporting here from beautiful Fethiye in Turkiye!

I get so frustrated when I hear ‘fewest’ and ‘least’ used incorrectly! The teaching in Maths of the difference between discrete and continuous data should go hand-in-hand with the teaching of the correct use of these terms.
@WhiteRoseMaths Why do your maths worksheets use ‘least’ when they should say ‘fewest’? As in this example.

I’d second that wholeheartedly! After only a few weeks of my son starting Y4, it was really evident he was considering the Care Code in his actions, both at school and at home. I think it’s particularly significant how many friends are made with children in other year groups.
The Care Code is very much at the heart of what makes @HymersJunior such an inspiring place in which to learn, grow and make friends. Fantastic pupils, the wonderful Mr Doyle and a superb set of committed, well qualified and enthusiastic staff.
