S1 pupils have blown me away with their portraiture project. Since starting school they have worked so hard on developing their skills and it has really shone through in their final piece for this unit 🤩🤩 unreal!

2C have done such an incredible job of their miniature art gallery group project. 😍 They each had to research an art movement, create miniature versions of famous artworks and then design their space. They came up with museum names and even made mini easels and paint brushes 🖌️

@OxgangPs @KirkintillochHS And today ends the three weeks of my S3’s pupil-led teaching unit. Today’s lesson was a competitive challenge where each group had to teach their P7’s paper techniques to make a plant sculpture. Look at the four incredible pieces made by our P7s in just one period!

Higher pupils -and myself- had fun yesterday playing revision chess! ♟️Pupils created the chess board (and some questionable pieces) then created a bank of questions. To take a piece you must answer the Q correctly. Well done to Aiden and Parker who played a nail biting game 😮‍💨

So proud of my S3 class today who led a series of lessons for our p7 neighbours from @OxgangPs. Each group planned, demonstrated and guided pupils through their chosen topic and shared their expertise. So much active learning and p7s did such an amazing job 🤩🤩 well done!

Higher Photographers got v competitive yesterday🤓we played a carousel game where there was a cheat sheet guide outside the class and they could spend a marble to go and see the guide. Most correct points and least marbles spent wins! So fun they forgot they were studying😆

Chuffed to have launched our new KHS Employability Skills stickers! This will allow pupils to track their own progress in a fun and active way, and make them collectible 💪🏼 A really simple idea that will improve engagement with skills across our whole school community 😍
