I was in court on one of the occasions. Kanu and his lawyers were more interested in acting drama for the camera than pursuing his case. All in bid to waste time. At some point, they said they don't want the trial judge Binta Nyako. They just don't like her face. Lol

He kept changing lawyers. His lawyers deliberately helped prolong his case with needless applications. They wasted time arguing whether he could continue trial having been abducted from Kenya. Anyone who knows law know that's irrelevant to the case. His lawyers pursued it though.
