@hockeyhijabi Fyu: Beyond the overt use of the N-word & antisemitic slurs, Green Party members suggested following Ms. Paul to her synagogue to see what they preached there. This was throughout her time as both candidate & actual leader. That's the type of antisemitism I was referring to.

@hockeyhijabi I 100% respect that I didn't/wouldn’t vote Green or even for Ms. Paul because of the way all have comported themselves. People like Michael still want to focus on Israel/Palestine when this issue was so much more; that does a disservice to BIPOC people [esp. women] in politics.

@hockeyhijabi Understood, but this was specific to Annamie Paul. The people pushing Israel/Palestine as the reason she lost, was unpopular and ultimately was forced to resign are actively choosing to ignore the racist + antisemitic roadblocks the Green Party put up against her from minute one.

@JamesMoore_org Once it was clear that Ms. Paul was the only normal candidate who could win the GPC leadership, she kinda-sorta made her the preferred successor. Barely. That was literally it.

@wickdchiq @CanadianGreens They're still doing it, even after driving her off: https://t.co/HPdIR12XdP
Annamie Paul has severely divided the party, and there have been no public attempts to heal a glaring rift in the membership.

The @canadiangreens kneecapped her then engaged in the gaslighting which is what many BIPOC experience in leadership positions. You can't window-dress and expect to solve everything

I'm loving @AnnamiePaul's resignation speech because she didn't shy away from the fact that the attacks against her have worn her down. That's true, that's real. This is real mental health shit #cdnpoli

@MelaynaWilliams @Joyhenderson78 *Some* in the party "loved" the idea of her as leader. The minute she became leader (less than a year) & tried to implement change, audit the org, install systems, etc., the problems began. Before that, it was run-of-the-mill racism + antisemitism by some members.

@HM010996 @Youcangougeaway @Nickiatori @JJ_McCullough No disagreement here. But for a minute, the Green Party was taken seriously as a national party and [externally] looked to be making inroads + progress. It was a cult of Elizabeth May, and then when she "left", it became anarchy with vestiges of her sycophants in key positions.

Thank you to @Apogee_Ent for the chance to review the game

@EmmMacfarlane She faced obstructionism & racist microagressions + double standards long before that. There's a racist + antisemitic [along with conspiracy theorist] rot in that party that won't be fixed so long as EMay and her cronies are around.

@NoLore They mass fired staffers by email the day after a previous election... and then expected the same staffers to continue with the [substantial] post-election work.

Jesus -- no humanity at all. Like what, they think she was happy with that result? They didn't think to just ... i dunno ... check in?

@Youcangougeaway @Nickiatori @JJ_McCullough Dimitri Lascaris literally accused two Jewish MPs ~and only those two~ of being more loyal to Israel than to Canada+their party because those MPs ignored his demand that they comment on a random video they weren't mentioned in. He was then allowed to run as leader, finishing 2nd

@CDN_Dimension Yves Engler/"Canadian Dimension" putting the onus on a Black + Jewish woman to "heal a glaring rift" based on racism + antisemitism within the @CanadianGreens That's some ugly gaslighting shit to fling at Ms. Paul as she steps down, forced to leave by racists & antisemites

@Joyhenderson78 I said it before & will say it again: GPC loved the *idea* of a Black+Jewish woman leader; they were not prepared for the *reality + responsibility* of having a Black+Jewish woman leader. ... It's a party rife with racists, antisemites & conspiracy theorists.
