The Hogmanay "big clean" is about to commence at Ferguson Towers. Timing it so that the smell of bleach is down to a tolerable level by the evening. I know it's superstitious nonsense really, but my old mum drummed it into me and it's proving hard to shake the habit.

Got off a train at Edinburgh Waverley and stumbled upon the Midland Pullman and the Northern Belle waiting to go. People on the latter seemed to be having a fine time of it.

First Minister @JohnSwinney officially opened the Parkhead Hub, Scotland’s Largest Integrated health and social care facility. Supported by £67 million @ScotGov funding, the Hub brings together a range of services including GP practices, a library, flexible working and a café.

This world cup draw is probably a good thing. Normally with Scotland it's the hope that kills you. Now that we have no hope whatsoever we can just chill, enjoy the experience, and take it as it comes.
