Today I have finished up CEPT I observations! I would like to thank Mr. Cardwell for the experience and helpful advice he has given me over this semester. I also got to teach my last lesson today which was over Ancient Asia countries! It was a great experience for the class!

Today, students were learning about the Tang and Song Dynasty in Ancient China. We started to dip their feet into the merit system as well. As I approach my 2nd observation, I’m looking for new information in this interesting topic that will help me succeed in my lesson planning!

This week Butler County is on spring break, so last week I had to do extra work and learning about diversity in the school system. Diversity comes in many shapes and forms and thanks to my manor teacher, he gave me tips on how to handle it in my future classroom!

This week has started off great in CEPT 1! I was able to interview my mentor teacher on skills and tips to prepare me for a future interview for my dream job as an educator! I also got to watch and help as students reviewed questions for an upcoming test through Kahoot!

CEPT 1’s topic for the week was cooperative learning. I was able to experience that first hand this week with students working together to review for the unit test coming up. Looking forward to learning more and coming up with ways to use cooperative learning in my future class!

Officially taught my first lesson for my clinicals! I’m thankful for the experience and looking forward to learning and growing from this experience as well!

Just finished my second seminar of the semester! I have not been able to be in attendance with my mentor teacher this week, but I am looking forward to implementing my new skills into my first observation in the coming weeks!

Yesterday was my first clinical day! I’m excited for a great semester with all my students!
