More commentary this weekend, looking at Modern this time 😍

You are admittedly weak to opponents who can remove your Artist Talent. It does help that the removal + Accumulate Wisdom shell can keep you afloat for a while, and that a fair Iroh is still super scary in this deck!

@HandshakeMTG @moxfieldmtg The deck is naturally strong against creature removal, as you can protect Iroh with an extra Octopus Form or an It'll Quench Ya! Even if you don't have one available yet, you can respond to removal with a flurry of instants to dig for an answer.

@HandshakeMTG @moxfieldmtg When going off, you sometimes need to make sure you have legal targets for the lessons in your GY so you can dig the maximum amount with Artist Talent. Keep in mind that you can hold control to play a removal on their creature, then respond with more removal on the same creature.

@HandshakeMTG @moxfieldmtg The common play pattern is to mulligan for Talent, then spend the first 3 turns levelling it up to Level 2. Turn 4 you pop off, kill some creatures, maybe find a Shared Roots and dig for an Iroh to win the game turn 5! You can also keep an interactive hand with Accumulate Wisdom

@HandshakeMTG @moxfieldmtg The wincon is with Rockalanche. Eventually you will find the one Energybending to turn all of your lands into Forests, then 2-3 earthbendings will give you a lethal tapped creature - that you can then untap with Octopus Form!
